ANNE ZAHALKA has been selected as a finalist for the 2016 Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award.

Now in its 16th year, the award and accompanying exhibition are one of the most important national surveys
of Australian contemporary photography. As the photographic medium continues its energetic evolution as
a means of creative expression, the selection of exhibited work by this year’s judge Professor Susan Best
of Queensland College of Art, has drawn out several strong themes including; fictions, identity, lifecycles,
materiality and the loaded landscape.
